We paid about $10k for carpet and laminate for maybe 1800 sq ft

We did it through Home Depot - although we're in the middle of a huge warranty claim with them and possibly a lawsuit, so I wouldn't recommend them. In their defense, they subcontract the work out to Western States, which services everything for Home Depot in Utah I believe, so might have better results if elsewhere in the US.

We did carpet with Home Depot and no problems. Sorry you had a bad outcome.

I’d say $3+ per square foot just for install labor. So depends on tile.

Depends on if you want the cabinets on top of the tile or not. Ours are not.

I didn't remove the cabinets, made sure the tile was up to the under part of the toe guard & sealed off with the grout.
