I was there as missionary and had this happen. Actually went to doc there and was told it was an infected ingrown hair. Over the next few days it kept getting more swollen and I was squeezing a ton of puss out each night. Wound was really hot to the touch and I was actually walking with a bit of a limp. Member noticed, asked to see it, realized what it was and pulled the worm out. I couldn’t believe it! Pushed a ton more puss out right then and felt MUCH better almost immediately and was back to normal (except for the psychological trauma!) in a day or two.

So, based on my experience, you probably don’t need to do anything.
