Let it be a complete uncoupling from NCAA or not but the reality is having all these decisions for other sports being driven by football money is irrational.

Lets recognize that college football and the other college sports, to include college basketball, ought to be separated from each other when it comes to all these decisions.

There is the money in football for mega conferences, long flights across the country etc. To have that reality impacting the other sports is irrational. The other sports, however, sill need football money so lets just allow football to go on its own merry way and still be the cash cow for the others but let geographical conferences have their role but not hold football back.
