The NFL is the league where its players literally sacrifice long-term health to play the game, yet compared to basketball and baseball the teams hold an inordinate amount of power.

I'm a little more 50-50 when a player is already on a signed contract and they want it redone. That becomes sort of a case-by-case thing for me.
