I would have all Rookie contracts favor the owner/team...
The reason being is that the rookie is unknown... they have no stats at that level and their pick placement is still an assumption of what they will be at the NFL level.
It's a higher risk for the owner/team on rookie deals than it ever is on the player. Until the player has some stats to back up their position... the benefit should go towards the team/owner.
