It isn't high risk at all compared to the alternative. How many picks contracts
even compare with veteran signings in terms of price? The draft pick is free, they can trade them away if they aren't confident in the prospects.

Lean towards the player. Owners can trade out of the slot if it isn’t a good deal for them.
