I think it was more the ACC asking ESPN which teams would bring in the most money, and UConn could not beat out the other teams. Thus, adding UConn was not encouraged.

I see it more of a "dollars and sense" issue for the ACC, and not some bias against UConn.

Similarly, USC will make much more money in the BIG than they will in the Pac 12, which is why I look for them to move.

There is some bias against BYU on religious grounds for evangelicals and on moral grounds for leftists (note they are not liberal). But I think we haven't won enough on the field, and though we have a large following it is not Texas or Oklahoma large. If we were more dominant on the field or had more raging fans we would be a shoe-in.
