Yeah for being one of the most popular sports in the world there are soooo many inconsistencies with the game. First and foremost they need to do away with penalties to decide the game. They should do like hockey, start the extra session with one or two less players to open up the field. If no one has scored by the first extra period take another player off...at some point you will get a goal scored....world cups, olympic gold etc should not be decided by who can guess the best between goal keepers...a team game decided by one player at that point. The old addage of what goes around comes around, I will agree with you as far as penalties go it was weak but I have seen worse called. In a game where scoring is a premium they really need to be consistent with their calls for sure.
