It was around my senior year of high school, cafe rio popped up. I think I had just graduated and my friends and I went. The line was about 20 people long and I couldn’t believe we were going to wait. Once I bit into that shredded chicken burrito, it was game over for me! I wanted cafe rio every meal.
Them some time after the mission maybe around 2005ish, I have no idea, they moved to the boulevard in a brand new building and they were still amazing but the quality started slipping.
Then later they built a new building in Red Rock commons and it has pretty much sucked ever since. The bigger they got the bigger they have sucked!
I prefer Durango’s. It is essentially the same exact style of food and they are in the original cafe rio location and quality is good.
