Head to head, the U of Colorado owns the big Denver market, but they say the Big12 is collectively well represented in the area, as is BYU. Given that Colorado Football has been stagnant since... forever, maybe the time is right for a Big12 that includes AF, CSU and BYU to make a splash in Colorado.

Air Force:

• Another nationwide fan base
• The Armed Forces Network carries their games world-wide (more eyeballs)
• Both the school and the fans are a class act
• Solid athletic programs across the board
• AF is well represented in the Big12 Footprint (tickets and eyeballs)
  *AF already competes in the Big12 for wresteling (as does UVU;)

Per AF's former athletic director- The Big12 is a good fit geographically, but their concern going back 10 years ago was not being able to recruit head to head with the likes of Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma St.

The time air force said no to the big 12

Perhaps they'll feel better about a Big12 sans Texas and Oklahoma?

Colorado State:

• Another conference game within driving distance for us and AF
• Large student body (34,000 in 2019), alumni and donor base
• New football stadium (41,000 isnt terrible)
• They've been a good program before, if elevated to P5 status with Colorado, could they be good again?
• We liked them as conference mates before, right?
• What else?
