My comment was in reference to Salami's comment. Salami suggested that "Max Hall hates me" is okay, that mugshots + coke jokes are not; I was pointing out that it's a given that a self-deprecating reference to Max is okay and that an epic rant is likely to invite much worse, especially when followed up with arrest for theft and possession of needles, a spoon, and cocaine - all while wearing a BYU shirt.

Edit: Revised to add that surely you're exaggerating about the worst society has to offer. It may have been a low blow at Max, but is that really the worst? Really? In the grand scheme of things, I think it's pretty mild.
