Six Foot Seven All-American
Was in the North Endzone near the visitor section
Walking out after the game was over, started talking to an ASU fan asking if they had made the trip up. Turns out everyone in his group went to the same high school I went to. When talking about the game, one of them said, "That was the most engaged crowd I've ever experienced as a visiting fan."

Responded with, "We're BYU. Engaged is what we do." and got a good chuckle out of them. Good way to see folks off who came to cheer their team.

But it was undeniable that the crowd was an experience Saturday night. ESPN couldn't stop talking about it. Stormy, who has been on BYU sidelines before, commented on it. LES has erupted many times before. What stands out is how coordinated it has become the last two weeks. It was like an NFL crowd - knowing how to influence the game and seeing everyone participate in it. From field level to nose bleeds, everyone was charged up. I kept looking at the West side, and people were on their feet more than in their seat.

Maybe the contrast to last year is creating a recency bias as we remember our experiences in LES. Or maybe the pandemic separating us for so long now has us ready to rise and shout more intensely than years past. And ESPN, Kyle Whittingham, Jayden Daniels, BYU players and coaches are all seeing the difference.
