Worked exactly as designed. This is what we do. You’ll get some yards against us but the bet is you can’t do it consistently enough to punch it in. We’d like to see more three and outs of course. But it still works even if the stats don’t look great at the end.

I do think we are giving up too many yards per play for my liking. I don’t know if the stats are proof of a talent difference or just indicative of scheme. There are arguments for both I think. I don’t think I’ll ever be truly comfortable with this defensive strategy but I am learning to live with it.

But the point of defense is to keep points off the board and it’s definitely working. The proof is in the pudding at this point.
