It was frustrating to see so many 1st down plays that resulted in the loss of 2-3 yards. That option play needs to go
away for good. Hall is not an option QB, and the defense knows it. Allgeier is a sitting duck each time he receives that pitch from Hall. (I'm not talking about the read option, where Hall reads the DE and either hands it off to Allgeier or pulls it and runs outside--that play works well as long as Hall makes the right read.)
There were at least a few series when faced 2nd and 12 or 13 because the 1st down play was something stopped behind the line of scrimmage. We had a hard time overcoming those situations.
