airflow into the tank. Everything else in the fuel system was fine. Started up and ran like a champ for a minute then stalled. It would then be impossible to start. I'd give up and come back 5 minutes later and she'd fire right up

I was deliberately cutting the engine at stop lights because I noticed that I could get a little further if I did. I finally diagnosed the problem when I noticed that the inline fuel filter was going empty and taking forever to fill up.

Fortunately I've gotten better at stuff like that, but it was a vexing problem for me at the time.
