I installed our blinds personally - thus assuring that half of the time...
...just tugging on the cords to raise or lower them, the blinds come tumbling out of their brackets.
A kid may one day get a concussion from playing with the cords to my blinds - but no kid will every be strangled by getting tangled in them.
I like to tell my wife I did it that way on purpose.
