Punitive? Anyone know the details of the case? Weren't these blinds standard
in the industry? They say they failed to put in a safety mechanism. Is there a safety mechanism that is standard in the industry? My house is old so I don't even know what other options are out there in terms of pull-up blinds.
Regardless, I'm sure it makes the Mahes feel great to think they are changing the industry to prevent this happening to others. Sad that the system pretty much requires lawsuits and big payouts for consumer protection to be prioritized - but that's how it works.
