This is very similar to my situation.
Loved my job for years but recent changes in ownership has lead me to struggle with being at work mostly because I dislike dealing with corporate management as it is now.
I have side businesses that I love doing, can see them making me much much more and I would have more freedom and flexibility. It’s just hard saying bye to a steady paycheck when the side businesses are not guaranteed.
