The NFL has really good injury data, it's about a 25% probability that a player
will miss at least 1 season game due to injury, so while no it shouldn't be a surprise that any player doesn't start every single game because this is what happens in football with a pretty high frequency, this isn't a repetitive injury, this is just regular football if you pay attention to any other team besides BYU.
This injury has nothing to do with Hall being "injury prone", it is not similar in any way to his other injuries that have sidelined him.
