Our defense looks the best it's looked in years (I'd say the best under the Kalani era). But people are literally calling for Tuiaki's job.
Our defense dominated the first half, but we had a number of injuries pile up and by necessity had to manage the game to win (i.e. force USF to chip away with small yardage gains, effectively draining the clock). Also the only way USF was able to move the ball was with their QB scrambles. Our D Line got to him repeatedly, so they put plenty of pressure on him, but our backups on the edges don't have quite the same speed or assignment sound discipline as our starters or second stringers, so they broke though.
So my point is, it makes no sense for people to be calling for Tuiaki's job. And our issues on defense seem to be temporary or situational. Definitely not perfect and there is reason to criticize (offense too definitely) but no reason to freak out and to want coaches to be fired
