No amount of paint is going to keep the peds and bikes in their designated lanes. Any attempt to do that is misguided.

It would be safer for everyone if there were no paint lines whatsoever and the expectation was for everyone to be vigilant. It makes things more dangerous to give some people a false sense that if they just stay in "their" lane, they'll be OK. Human nature is going to dictate that people are everywhere on that trail, so it's better safety-wise for the paint to reflect that.

Riding UP the canyon on the PRP is OK. Riding DOWN the canyon on the trail is more dangerous than being on the road.
