I don't think so.
Seeing those d-line men sprint on and off seems like it would get them more tired.

To me it seems like the other team quite often has a bigger play after a substitution.

The only benefit I see is that it builds up player experience and depth. I suppose it may prevent tiredness injuries well.

Of course, if the other team wouldn't be stopped otherwise, I guess it wouldn't make a difference and we might as well build up experience.
