You don’t understand. We aren’t saying the defense lost the game. The offense
Lost the game. Obviously the turnovers killed BYU chances kinking and clearly lost them the game.
We are not defending the offense. We are saying the offense needs to change and improve. And we are saying the same thing about the defense. They need to change and improve. Kalani even said so in his post game comments. He said there was plenty of blame to go around. Overall through the first 6 games the defense has performed average at best. Definitely not too 25 overall defense.
I believe the problem is the bend don’t break philosophy and the play calling. It’s clear something needs to improve if BYU wants to take the next step as a program.
