I find it funny that many BYU fans think that McBride was a good guy.

Yes, LaVell was friendly with him. But, they weren't 'buddies'. McBride was a crass, foul-mouth guy. He's never been an evil dude, but he wasn't really that great as some fans project him to be. He's just a guy. When I've heard him on the radio, I thought he made a lot of dumb, clown comments.
