Do you support the gov't controlling how many kids you have? Clearly the number of kids people have impact others in society, including the environment, the amount we have to spend on education (and thus the level of taxes everyone has to pay), etc.

Do you support the gov't forcing people to be a healthy weight? Because clearly overweight people impact the rest of society through higher medical insurance costs and a less productive society.

Do you support Gov. Boggs ordering that all Mormons be "driven from the State, or exterminated" for the good of society?

I could list examples like the above all day.

I'm vaccinated, and I think 99.9% of those who aren't are making an awful decision. But we ought to be careful what we force others to do "for the good of society".

And PS - the idea that a bunch of healthy, 20 year old college athletes who have been fully vaccinated against the virus are likely to have any measurable negative health impact from interacting with an unvaccinated, always- masked coach is ridiculous and anti-science.
