Raw skill of the players. In order to have a good defense there needs to be a mix of talent on the field and talent establishing the game plan and calling plays.

The way things look the coaches need just as much or more of an upgrade than the players. Sadly we just blame lack of player talent…. And coaches can just use that as an excuse.
