it sucked. My point wasn't that serving is easy or that servers don't deserve to be tipped. It doesn't make sense to me that we'd base the tip amount off of how much the food costs. The server that takes the order and delivers a $10 hamburger is doing the same service as the server who takes the order and delivers a $100 steak but gets a much smaller tip just because the cost of the hamburger is much less than the steak.
