I think one of the reasons McChesney was effective is that USC didn’t think we’d give him many carries since Allgier wasn’t in. I don’t think they stacked the box like they would for Tyler and McChesney took advantage of that.

The coaches clearly prefer to have a feature back, only giving a few snaps to the 2nd string RB and none to anyone else.

McChesney averaged 5.7 ypc on 3 carries, while TA averaged 5.3 on 21 carries.
