At a minimum, the team would need to start winning NY6 bowl games, and would at least need to be in the annual conversation about being in the playoff hunt. If this current team has a great bowl season, then they should enter 2022 as a top 25 team (possibly top 15). Unfortunately, BYU's previous season successes typically get marginalized in the eyes of some voters, so they have to re-prove themselves all over again. The schedule next season is good enough to get some national attention if they win those games. Hopefully the returning team really works hard during this offseason, and that they can seamlessly integrate the new recruits and RM's. There are some talented players who will most likely be gone, so that is the biggest question mark heading into next season.
