Yet I will be the first to admit that Kalani deserves a lot of credit for where he's taken the program and has recovered nicely from the early OC+clueless position coaches blunder and since taking care of that problem he's really put a solid staff together and the results have been phenemonal.
That said.....a win over CCU last year and BSU this year would have been necessary for him to be in that echelon of coaching ranks. Let's see a few NY6 bowl appearances + some wins, maybe a P5 Conf Championship too....before that happens? Well let's just say 2020 and 2021 have been "nice seasons" but far from where they could have been. Again, not to take anything away from Kalani...I'd have my eye on him for sure because he looks to be amazing...yet...I still dont think he's earned that spot in the coaching ranks and elite just yet.
