Another thought - defensive game plans are a lot like this story from WWII:
What we see as a weakness that gets attacked repeatedly ignores what we are preventing them from doing. What fans might see as a weakness, the game plan may consider the cost of doing business. Obviously there's games hwere you play poorly, or the game plan didn't line up well, but we are 21-3 in the last 2 season and only one of those games has had a defensive performance that cost us the game (Baylor this year).

Our offense is great, and our defense is "good enough" with lots of room to improve.
