I'd much, much rather have a 49-45 shootout every week than a 27-21 win with us having to burn 7 minutes off the clock in the 4th quarter to secure victory. So from my standpoint, although I acknowledge (and appreciate) Tuiaki's defense contributing to wins, I don't actually like to win that way. I like offense. Specifically, I like OUR offense. And I want to see more of it. If the defense gets off the field in 3 plays for a stop, great. If they get off after 6 plays because they gave up a touchdown, that's not ideal, but it's better (for me) than getting off the field after SIXTEEN plays and a touchdown.
