Should all states do the same?
Should everybody just retreat inside their own borders and keep out all the riffraff?

Hypothetically, say you wanted to go to Yosemite. Or Yellowstone.

Or say you wanted to visit Independence Hall in Philadelphia?

Should Idahoans be able to get in free to West Yellowstone, but have to pay a premium to go the next foot into Yellowstone?

Do you really think the idea is to just make everything free for people who live outside the gates and shut out the rest of the nation? (And world) That makes no economic sense. It makes no fairness sense. To me it just doesn't make sense.

In terms of enjoying the beauty of thus nation, the beauty of the nation should belong to the all.

I hold these truths to be self-evident, that all are created equal. I don't think some animals should be more equal when it comes true enjoying the beauties of this nation.

And while it absolutely must be managed, I'm not a big fan of preferences. That's like geographic Affirmative Action in my world. It's picking winners and losers.

Life's not fair. Making it even less fair isn't the solution. And if the state isn't bringing in those tourism dollars, you're going to pay. They're going to still want their revenue. And the lost jobs...you pay for that too.
