what so many here think is true (that trust funds likely ruin kids).... then don't you think rich parents would know it and stop doing it?
Do you think these rich parents have witnessed devastation happening to all of these rich kids within their family and social circles and yet they still decide to give their kids a bunch of money? Or is it more likely that the reality is that for the vast majority of people who inherit money it proves to be a net positive and that's why it continues to happen ....and that perhaps you've got a misperception of how many lives are ruined by the cash?
What percentage of kids who inherit more than $1M do you think are negatively impacted by the cash? And of those kids who are negatively impacted by the cash, are you suggesting that without the trust fund their lives would have been great? That it was specifically the money that caused the destruction and without the money the kid's life would have been fine?
edited to add... I think money ruins lots of people (especially younger people).... it just seems that I think the percentage who are ruined by it is materially smaller than what others here think.
