We do know that after a certain point (about 100K/year) more money doesn't bring more happiness. And it can cause problems if you get too wealthy too young. But you ask a good question, and I'm not sure. If I got a big chunk of money, I'd pretty much just put it into the bank to bolster my own retirement, so yeah ... not sure it would actually impact me much so maybe there's a difference.
