I've thought about what I'd do if I had wealth to give to my kids...
I won't, but if I won the lottery ...

I'd like to somehow set up a trust that pays out for things like education, missions, music lessons, etc. Rather than just giving them a bunch of cash. And if I were REALLY wealthy, have that trust keep paying out for grandkids and on and on.

I agree with you there ... not really make my kids wealthy but at least get through school and get them going in their careers.

But even so, I have to admit that giving my kids even money for their first home or to pay for their school isn't going to make them happier necessarily. The things in life that make us happy aren't money. So if i can help them out with school without neglecting the more important things, then great. But if it comes at the cost of me not being a dad to them because I work too much for example, then it's probably not worth it.
