When my parents died we had a financial guy tell us to be careful because he has seen several families that were very close before but after the parents died they hadn't talked in years because of fights over the inheritance. Luckily my parents didn't really have any money, I think we each ended up with about $1000 but I worry about my wife's family, I can see some of them getting really ugly over money.
