Benfica1 Intervention Needed
Sad, but true (in many cases). Examples:
One of my BILs works with older people and has seen many pass away. He's said that more often than not there is a fight for property and money. He's told some pretty sad stories of how just a little money ruins family relations.

Even my SIL's family had problems when her mother passed away early and left the inheritance (from her parents) to her children (obviously she didn't think that she'd die younger). Her husband, who had money, demanded that the kids give him the money (It was about $50k each) even though he is set for life. My SIL finally decided it wasn't worth losing a relationship with her dad so she did. The other two kids did not and have no relationship with their father.

All this talk about generational wealth being ideal may not be all it is cracked up to be. I didn't get anything from my grandparents and don't expect anything from my parents or in-laws.
