This isn’t objective truth, just what I learned doing it. I also didn’t relate it to the church until a couple of hours in.
I gained a deeper understanding of what our spirit is, how it is eternal, pure, etc. I also got a deeper understanding of what God is and helped me comprehend what the true nature of God is, which is something we talk about but always seemed vague to me. It also helped me understand something are objective truth and something’s are to guide us to be more like God.

It was interesting that a big thing for me was understanding the difference between who I am and the chemicals reactions that make my brain work. Basically, my thoughts, observations, knowledge etc, isn’t who I am fundamentally, it’s who I am being right now as an imperfect being on my own journey. So as I align my imperfect self with God, I’m not only becoming closer to who God is, but who I really am, which is an eternal being with the potential to basically become a God.

One thing that had a ripple effect on more things than just the church part of the trip was the ability to comprehend infinity. That helped me understand how time is relative, the absolute objectivity of truth, etc. It also helped me understand more about how God views us when we fall short.

Not sure how all of that aligns with all the doctrines/dogmas, and I definitely can’t really explain my own thoughts, but that’s a high-level gist. Lol I’m not sure there is time in the world to dive into all of the deep quantum physics I learned 😂. One thing to be clear is a lot of that, like understanding infinity, goes away after the trip. Basically you understand that you understood, which lays the groundwork for all of the information you learned that you can still comprehend.

If that sounds like crackhead stuff, I agree. But anyone that has done it will read this and understand completely what I’m saying
