From the limited film I've watched, I see more of the latter than the former. He's obviously a pretty solid athlete & a strong kid, but those effort points aren't likely to be rewarded to the same degree at the D1 level.
Imo, Hall is being over-hyped by a lot of instate fans. His development as a PG is gonna take some time, most likely.
And I'm not so sure Hansen (a better shooter/scorer) & Stewart (a better athlete) are gonna concede that position to him all that easily when he gets back. The staff has reportedly gone pretty hard at that blue-chip prep academy PG in SL as well. So they probably don't see Hall as the immediate play type player, either.
