Blue for Life Intervention Needed
Agree with others, why paying for both. Once your wife got offered coverage,
should have done some research, sounds like you did, and when you realized hers was better, just all gone on hers and dropped yours. That would have been a life moment and you could have dropped yours even if not in open enrollement.

Now if she quits or gets let go, you can then always go back to yours, again life moment as you no longer have coverage with her, so no matter if not open enrollment.
