One thing that really helped us was creating a personal allowance within our

Budget. I have my money, she has hers. I can’t deny her spending her money and she can’t deny me spending my money. It’s the same bank account, just a different budget within mint.

It started to be that when I wanted something, my wife would say ok, but it’s coming out of your budget. Suddenly, I didn’t want that as much.
