You will probably add about 1000 lbs to the dry weight of the trailer when fully

loaded. I tow something similar to what you are looking at with my Yukon XL and I've never had any issues. My Yukon is rated to only 7,500 lbs GVWR and our fully loaded the trailer is about 6,600 lbs, so you should be good with the numbers you mentioned.
