Similar - burners are shapped differently so there's more even cooking and the cook space is deeper.
It's strictly a flat top, can't pull off the griddle to throw a pan on.

I'm confused. I've had a camp chef I use camping. It's the same thing right?

which one do you have? Don't know which to get. Is the air fryer worth it?

I bought the 36" top. Didn't need the air fryer and stuff. $327 at Walmart

I use ~1/6 lb give or take for a burger. Breakfast, stir fries, quesadillas, birria, you can do it all.

That's probably the biggest difference. I have my weber grill next to it...

it's all about the real estate. For MOST people, a griddle is better than a grill given what they cook

The three things I cook the most are fried rice, smash burgers, and salmon.

If you don't want another grill in your backyard, you can add a flat top griddle to your current grill set up

That's kind of what I was getting at. Can't I just buy a griddle to put on top

Correct. There is nothing magical about cooking on a flat surface - whether it is a small pan or a large griddle

Where do you store your grill? You park it and put a cover over it.

Sure. You leave it on your grill grates.

The Steelmade is 3/16" steel so it doesn't slide around.
