If it’s not a super heavy tv, I’d make a 3/4” plywood mounting plate that spans

between the existing studs. Then the mount will be closer to the wall.

I did that. Had the paint, a little trim. You don't really notice it even if you're moving the TV.

Each of those is rated for 100lbs and the frame mount uses 8 and the TV weighs 55
