If installed right, they work like a charm. If you have one side in studs and
the other side with snap toggles you will be fine. They have all sorts of sizes and weight recommendations. I think mine were rated for 80 lbs. I put four of them in. The full weight of the tv is distributed on the mount. My mount is no frills, doesn't extend, and is similar to this one:
