Fully a quarter of his dropbacks ended in sacks or interceptions. He had 6 interceptions and 5 fumbles against 78 pass attempts. If an undrafted rookie performs like that, he's probably not coming back the next year, whether or not he's injured.
Maybe he could be Jake Luton (6th round pick for Jacksonville in 2020 who played unexpectedly in his rookie year and did better) who is hanging on as a practice squad QB for Miami last year and Jacksonville this year.
And that's OK. Doesn't impact who he was at BYU or make him any less of a legend there
