no one else would. Whiting has played college ball, has been around basketball forever (men's and women's), and has proven she can develop girls to compete at the collegiate level. It's also mentioned that she already has 'a well thought out, specific plan for the future of this team'. Not every coach goes into the interview that well prepared (although they should).

I have absolutely no problem with this hire.
