I have nothing against the hire
But the jump from Butler after after two runner up finishes to the NBA is not that big of a leap. Stevens was considered one of the best coaches in college basketball which is saying something because college basketball has a number of coaches that have turned down NBA job opportunities.
Coaching a top 25 D1 team after 4 years of HS in Idaho coaching is a much much bigger leap.
Not saying it isn't a good hire but I don't see the comparison at all.
