Lyons has a couple of factors that work against him. First, that he's buddies with Snowden and Clegg, who both seem like Utah leans.

Secondly, as a top 100 guy and top 5 at his position, Lyons is the type to get big NIL money from the collectives. Bowers would still get some and would obviously be a huge get for BYU, but not a huge priority for schools like Bama, Georgia, Texas A&M.

Bowers would have been #26 of 31 last year among A&M recruits.

By comparison, Lyons would be #16 of 31 so the median recruit in the greatest class ever
